Adam Madd

Adam Madd (Adam Spencer) is widely known and respected for his versatility and extraordinary explosive talent behind the decks. His diverse mix of the finest NuDisco, Deep, and Funky Jackin House blended with the funkiest grooves and beats layered seamlessly together, plus the ability to either get people tapping their feet, to packing a dancefloor, have earned him the respect from a vast number of his peers and followers. This respect also earned him the title of No.#1 House DJ in Newcastle in 2004 and No#2 DJ in Newcastle 2004 (second only to DJ Skooby, who is NSW DMC Runner-up for 2004), and No#1 Nightclub DJ in Newcastle in 2001. As a DJ who learned and started initially DJing on turntables, his heart is and will always remain about the music and the feeling it generates, and this shows through in his DJ sets. Since moving to Brisbane, he has played at a range of venues over the years, and is now holds a residency at the internationally recognised MooMoo Wine and Cocktail Bar in Brisbane, as well as playing regular at a variety of bars and clubs up and down the Queensland coast.

A talented and experienced producer, he has had many popular club tracks and remixes, locally and nationally. His first large-scale popular original production, "Feel My Body" was released independently in 2000, and gained vast airplay nationally in the clubs and on radio, and charted as high as Number #2 on the national online house charts, number #27 on the ARIA Club Charts, and number #14 on Jimmy Z's Dance Charts. His release “Summer Sunset” on German label Especially Sounds in 2012 was a very strong summer house tune internationally, gained great popularity around the world, and has been featured on a number of dance compilations. He has also produced numerous remixes and original productions, all of which have been very popular in the club scene on a local and national level.

As an experienced DJ with over 20 years behind the decks, he quite often takes his listeners on a journey with his music, expressively bringing out positive and energetic emotions and feelings through his mixing skills, track selection, and musical flow. He firmly believes that DJing is about making a listener feel certain positive emotions and memories through careful track selection and meticulous mixing skills. His perfectionist attitude towards his DJing shows in how smooth every mix is, and his uncanny ability to read just about any crowd quickly and accurately allows him to adjust his sets on the fly, ensuring the people at the venue are enjoying themselves.

Adams skills with music were quickly noticed by Australia’s number one dance website,, and Adam was quickly incorporated into their regular DJ selection for their events. In September 2010, the Sundae crew in Brisbane recognised Adam’s talent and they hosted Adam as a headliner in October 2010, bringing his funky club vibe to a very special Sundae. Even though this was heavily rained out, it was a complete success. In October 2011, Adam’ skills were recognised once again as he was asked to headline Sunday Sessions at Temple nightclub on the Gold Coast. Once again, the evening was a complete success, and Adam took the patrons on a memorable journey into house music! At the close of his set, there was an actual line-up of people wishing to thank Adam for giving them such a profound magical DJ set to dance to.
Nowadays, as true to his heart as his living arrangements will allow, Adam resides in Brisbane still, and has gained the respect of his peers thanks to help from a number of local promoters and venue managers in Brisbane, with his DJ sets proving his worth in the industry.
